グループ名の「恵比寿」はスターダストプロモーションの所在地である東京都渋谷区恵比寿に由来する。架空の学校「私立恵比寿中学 1年B組」として『永遠に中学生』というコンセプトを掲げているため、実際に中学校を卒業して高校生となったメンバーは『中学4年生』、『中学5年生』となり、中学生として進級する設定になっている。 なお、ダンス、歌、共に上手ではない。
